The "average calculating formula" checks the first column for the number of
employees receiving wages. When the formula counts the number of
employees, it also counts "invisible signs", i.e. "spaces".
Conversely, when you enter figures in the "wages per hour" column, there
must be a corresponding employee name.
To make sure the "average calculating formula" is counting properly, just
select all "empty" name- fields in the first column ( Supervisors/Forepersons
/ Laborer ) and press the delete key.
