6. How do I synchronize or transfer data (needed for the estimating module) from
the budget module to the estimating module? 17/03/09
ANSWER: If you haven't synchronized or are not sure if you have sycnronized
yet, just follow the procedure outlined below.
* Start your Budget module.
* Login as "User"
* In the "Budget Main Menu" (Quick Reference page 34) click on the "Estimating
Data" button. The form shown on QR page 85 should appear.
* Check if all the right data are displayed. i.e Overhead%, Hourly work costs for
the Staff etc.
* If the data are correct, then transfer the data to the "ITT01_1.accdb" file in your
"estimating data" folder.
* Click on the "Transfer this Data to ETT01_1.accdb" button
* A file browser will appear (QR page 85)
* Select " My Computer"
* Select "Local Drive(C:)"
* Open the "JPL-Estimating 2009_104" folder
* Open the "JPL_DATA_Estimating default" folder (if you use this folder as your
data folder) OR the "Estimating Data" folder you may have created on your own.
*(See below on how you can do this)
* Select the " ETT01_1.accdb " file.
* Confirm with "OK" NOTE: You will probably get a " Security Notice" from
the system, just click on "Open", you must repeat this action 6 times (6
transfers). This happens so quickly, that it seems like the "Security
Notice" does not want to disappear but keep clicking until the notice
disappears. Then the transfer is complete.
* After the transfer is completed, the data should be available in your estimating
module. (More Information: See Quick Reference Guide, page 85,)
