user section but not the admin section. I have tried it over and over and even used the old default code, but no success. Is it possible to gain entry without the correct password? (7/02/09)
for security reasons. It is possible that this is a "CAPS LOCK" problem. When you create your password, be very careful to check that your "CAPS LOCK" (left side on your keyboard) is turned off. Because "CAPS LOCK" is a toggle function, it is easy to forget that it may be active. So double-check that the "CAPS LOCK" light is off, or look for a screen message that displays when CAPS LOCK is on or off. If you want to use a capital letter when you create your password, do not use CAPS LOCK, use the "SHIFT" key. If CAPS LOCK is active, numbers may be interpreted as symbols and your password will be unrecognizable when you try to access your file. NOTE: If you are not able to recover your password and haven't yet entered too much information into your budget, I would recommend re-installing the program. You must first de-install the program, by using "Add or Remove Programs" in the control panel of Windows.
same as the one in the Reference Guide, but I cannot enter any data. What am i doing wrong? (9/02/09) ANSWER: If you are referring to the "Fixed Salary" input form, then there are two possibilities:
located on the right site of the "Staff: Basic Information" form. The selected Staff will appear in the "Fixed Salary" form, only if you have selected this check box and the percentage is more than 0% (this means a minimum of 1%). 2. Staff is listed in the "Fixed Salary" form, but you can't add additional Staff there, because this is the way the program works. If you want to add or modify staff, you must use the "Staff: Basic Information" Form. In this form you can EDIT the salary for staff on fixed wages and who do not work on the job site. These costs are directly related to the Overhead costs, with the percentage you have determined in the "Staff: Basic Information" form. 3. Where do I enter the monthly totals? ANSWER: In the JPL Budgeting & Estimating program, all calculations are processed in the background and totals are automatically transferred to the Master Budget. In other words, you only need to add or modify data on the input forms, the JPL System takes care of the rest. |
